Have you bought any 14" stainless bar lately?

I know firsthand how much that stuff costs.
There's an $800 cabinet in the other room that currently just has coffee cups and some bowls in it

not my strong suit as my primary function is to take a written sequence and make stuff do it, remember I didn't go to school for any of this

9,000 sounds plenty sufficient (actually sounds like overkill in our part of the world) but you are in the jungle there and my tendency with things is to always go a bit over any recommendations.

Just looked and the old window unit that does my whole first floor in the house is 10,000 btus.

Not bar, but deal with carbon and stainless plate (sheet stock) daily.

you can oversize to the point where stuff cycles too much but 10 or 20% over shouldn't be a bad thing
