in fact it takes about 6 hours to get to his place from here and we're in the same state

It was really just a guess.  When I emailed for the quote I was looking at one of our plates and it was roughly an inch up off the table at the top edge.

I mean, I guess I could just get a stainless baking sheet, cut a circle out of the middle, scratch mikes name in it with a screwdriver and charge $300
