Good news: Shorty Junior made the Regional Cricket Squad, chosen from all the kids in all of the teams in the league  8)

He's worked hard for it and I'm proud of him  8)

He thinks I'm slightly wacko for telling my US Ducati mates about his involvement in a sport most of you know nothing of  [laugh].


Bad News:  Hospital visit today.  One of my fellow Salt Miners and a sometime riding buddy ploughed his VFR1000 into the rear end of a ute  :(.   The Honda is dead.   The rider fortunately walks.... well hobbles at least.  Broken ribs.... cuts and bruises... dislocated shoulder.  They're keeping him in hospital to monitor suspected internal damage  :-\.  He was clearly in pain but he's a tough bugger so making him laugh inside those broken ribs was my duty  [evil].
