Rat, sorry to hear about the rabid ulcer.  You are handling the news much better than I would.  Hugs and thoughts to you and the wife.

My 15 mile commute is long enough.  Not sure how y'all do longer.

Mine is about 30 feet. But then I go on the road for a few days at a time too.

My brother in law commutes from Stockton to S.F.
I think it's 70 miles one way. I also think its crazy because he owns a house in the city that he currently rents out.

My sister in law used to work there too but she just drove as far as Livermore and took the train the rest of the way. The train stopped about a block away from her work. So that was a 30 mile drive for her and avoided paying the toll at the Bay Bridge.

My commute is now less then a mile and a half each way. The office is moving to Kirkland in late Dec. 16 miles each way. Should take an hour in traffic or 35 to 40 with none.

Stella

Yeesh.  Are you going with them Mary?

Used to do 60 miles round trip.  Depending on weather or one minor fender bender, it would take 45 min. to, worst case, 3 hours.

Rat, hoping for the best outcome out of all this!!
