I live in the Northeastern part of Alabama.  ;)

I have much fonder memories of my time spent in (albeit Southern) Alabama than those right across the state line in Western GA.

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Sun went away.

Two inches of the white.

Sun came back.

White is going away.

Not from there.

Uncle Sam kept me insulated from the locals while I was there.

We have had that discussion.

And, it is sometimes because the other kids are jealous.  :'(

Or...

Sometimes the officer's kid is just a little shit, and the daily pummelings are a much needed character building experience.  [evil]

yes we have. i remembered the convo after I posted. and the only kids that were really entitled little shits were the general's. nad it's not like my dad was even that high up. he was CW4 for christ's sake. he just had a reputation as being a severe ball buster on his trainees.

That would be most of the IPs.   [evil]

Warrants will always have that certain thing about them.

The REALLY bad ass ones were the civilian IPs.  During my era, there were still a bunch of Viet Nam era retirees with @ a bazillion hours that had come back to teach.
