my current electrical closet that the main panel is in is just that, a closet.
It's only a little over a foot deep and I'm uneasy setting up the transfer switch in there.
So I'm stealing a little from the room it's in and going to take down that wall and make the closet deeper and able to withstand a nuclear blast.  [cheeky]
While I never expect there to be an issue, with the transfer switch switching between hi amp sources there always is the slim possibility of a fire so I want ample room around the boxes and the room itself to not be flammable at all.

I do it the stoopit way...

I'm not planning on doing all the drywall in the house. It would take me far too long.

I just did a few sheets in the mechanical room.
