It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

I trimmed my stash the other day.  Why did that not make the news?

I don't understand.

I pulled a nose hair out of my nose and only Joy noticed so don't feel bad.

Trying to come out of shock to function.  Got word early this morning that there was just an arrest made in the murder of my two friends 30 years ago - who I was with the night they were killed and was supposed to be with the next day (but I changed my plans and left them a message on their answering machine).

uh.....  <blank stare emoticon>

Holy cow Stella!

30 years is a long time to be waiting to get caught.

No kidding.  The state, or perhaps it was the county, received a grant about 18 months ago to re-open cold cases.

I want to find out who the grant writer was to thank them (among many others).

Wow. I know how you must feel. I lost a friend to murder like that over 20 years ago. I wish they would make an arrest behind that. Of course Arrests don't bring our friends back.

Don't be counting any chickens just yet.

An arrest is a long way away from charges being filed, an indictment, a trial, and a conviction...

just sayin'

I haven't googled symptoms of shock but I'm pretty sure I've got a few.

My b/f at the time was one of several primary suspects up until a few weeks ago.  My dad is best friends with the now retired detectives.  I got grilled a lot back then but knew there was no possibility of what they suggested.  The cold case detectives had to grill this guy too - even though they, this morning, admitted to him that they for the most part knew it wasn't him but there were so few leads and they wanted to be so certain before they made the arrest of the.... thing... that did it.

Everyone was suspected from the start but I didn't realize the ex had been getting hammered like he was.  He's got a great job, awesome wife and kid....  Turns out it was my friend's brother who killed her and her husband. Who I also know.

Yup.  Pretty sure I'm in shock.
