how old before you can identify the drakes?

I think 3-4 months.

There are methods for sexing earlier, but we'll just wait until the ducks quack and the drakes don't.

They're delicious and, if you bake, make chicken eggs inadequate in comparison.

The real advantage is they're fresh and not being chickens you don't have to worry about spreading disease to other birds if you ever decide to raise them on the same ground or in the same building.
