morning

Let me come out there and climb up on a roof.

It will rain. ;)
..stay well away from my bloody roof  :-*

We got Satellite Dude coming tomorrow to replace the current feeble hardware which points at Incredible's antique IPSTAR with a Big make the beast with two backsing Monstrosity of a dish pointing at something which promises to work in real time  [laugh].

Current dish is mounted on the house roof, but due to the required aim of this thing (and its size) it has to go on the aft end of the shed roof.... which means tomorrow morning I have to dig a trench between the shed and the house to bury the dish cables.  That will be fun with the hangover I'm intending to acquire  [laugh].

Rain would not help.

morning
the extreme rain with some wind last night yet the power not even blinking, tells me the generator was a good purchase...as in insurance that it will never be needed  [laugh]

I don't mind riding in the rain.  ;D
3-5 inches last night, probably will go for a drive later to see if anything got flooded out anywhere
probably nothing like a bunch of years ago when the Delaware went up about 20 feet

I did it the right way, automatic transfer switch.
Power goes out for more than 5 seconds = the generator starting.
I have the warmup time set to 40 seconds at which point it switches the feed from the main panel to instead be from the generator for the ten circuits I designated as emergency circuits.
This way, if I'm away from home, no worries for my wife.

I figure it's not far removed from what I do for a living, it would be wrong to do any less.
It would be the same as if DP had a bike with a bad paintjob....oh wait  :P
