Oh crap.  So sorry to hear that the pup is not well!!?!?   I know those vet bills well.  Best wishes for the guy!   (Funny, we refer to Brian as "princess" as well.)

And yes, a wedding tomorrow!  My lovely, 21 y/o niece.  [thumbsup]

Not one of the pups.  Thankfully.

It's my kitty that has been with me for the last 11 years.

Oh no!  Sorry, didn't know there was a feline in the household.   Been down that road as well!  Gentle squeezes to the gato!   :(

okay....let me tell you about my Mile Repeats run last night...

did 7.10 miles at an overall pace of 9:02...1.4 warm up and 1.4 cooldown at a 10-ish minute pace...

we were doing 1600 at pushing pace and then 400 relaxed and repeated the process 3 times

1st 1600 was 7:33 pace, 2nd was 7:51 pace, 3rd was 7:52 pace and then did an extra 800 cooldown after the required 400 because it was better to keep moving while waiting for the rest of the group than to sit down or something...felt good...

Good numbers Zooom.   [thumbsup]

Next time try for negative splits.  Slower in the beginning and faster at the end.

It helps your body learn to push through the fatigue; run harder when your most tired.

It difficult the first couple times, but gets easier.  Then it becomes a game....see how much faster you go the farther you run.

ACTUALLY when I was doing the 1600's, since we were running on a track, I was running negative split laps, faster each lap during the 1600's( slowest always being 1st and fastest always being last and usually the middle 2 were pretty consistantly close within each other even while mainting that negative split and being close to in the middle of the first/last)....like my 1st interval I was 2:02, then 1:56 then 1:51 and then a 1:44 ...I know it isn't exactly the same, but it is, and I understand exactly what you are saying though.... I often do it moreso when I am doing my hill repeat workouts.....funny thing is that the coach wanted us to target 2:11 laps and we exceeded the target and she didn't say anything, as I figured she was going to give us some guff for beating the set pace for our LSD paces
