I do it with my younger self...

he doesn't listen.  ;D

I've got one of those,he sits on my shoulder and says "you can do it, show those young smartasses how it's done" , unfotunately it's the older self that has to have the dislocated joints popped back in or wear the bruises.
"The make the beast with two backsin monkey started it..."

morning.

I think I'll be tired until...

Evening  [beer]

I was Mr Useful today.

Fixed the diff on the mower  [thumbsup].

Rounded up 17 metric shitloads of downed branches and assorted tree junk, lit a fire and made it all go away  [thumbsup]

Cut some fire wood for the house with my new toy (enjoying the fruits of that labour now)  [thumbsup]

I'm knackered.

And thirsty.

Yup  [thumbsup]

Starts easy.  Just like my old one always did.

Much more grunt though  ;D

My first motorbike had a smaller engine  [laugh]

What did you do with the old one?

When I bought my Jonsered the guy gave me $100 for the old Homelite I had run over with the pick up. ;D

I still have it.

Now that I have a new one... I'm beginning to think I might fix the old one  [laugh]

Not sure if it would be a bad idea to time-sert the threads for the bar locating studs or not.....

... put a smaller bar on it.... use it for the little jobs and dirt digging...

but in all likelihood it'll probably just sit there... barless.

More 3', 6" duct wrestling today?

I'm gonna take a couple days off I think.

I made pretty good progress yesterday.

I have a fresh air trunk line to run down the slope of the roof, and make the connections at the fresh air supplies, and then make the connections at the unit. The exhaust side is done.

I also have to decide if and what to use to seal the elbows and tees. All the joints are screwed and taped as are the long seams on the snaplock pipe.

It's going to be tight servicing the unit.

I may move it slightly before I'm done to give myself a little more room.

Good progress then  [thumbsup]

Why not tape on the elbows and tees too?

Hard to wrap the metal tape on the curves.

I'd like to use something I can 'smear' on. :P

ah.. you're talking about the long seams then not the joins... silly me  [bang].

Could you use a silicone sealant dispensed from a caulking gun?

I taped the long seams on the snap lock pipe.

I'm talking the joints on the tees and adjustable elbows.

I'm sure there is something for a caulking gun. Just need to find out what to use.
