I was out at happy hour and now I am home. I like Friday! There were 6 of us out tonight. My friends are fun, smart people that I like spending time with.

Now I need to eat some dinner and watch more Bomb Girls on netflix.

It's different meeting friends for dinner who have kids.  Rather "supper" since it was at 6pm (sans ankle biters).  I had to tame the happy hour mentality (not that I ever get to those any more but I could have slipped into that mode quite easily).

It usually takes me past happy hour to get home on Friday. My friends get there early and save me a seat. We have started going someplace different each week, and try to pick a place that has HH till 7. Tonight I had 2 beers and called it a night.

My friends have really rallied around me the past few weeks. I appreciate them and the effort they are all making. Cousin Brenda got to meet then tonight. They all seemed to get along. Now her husband Charlie needs to meet them too.

Back to Bomb Girls!

morning

So you're saying the sun has come up?

I'll look forward to seeing it.  But behind rain clouds would be preferred.  Hit 101 yesterday.  Quite done with those temps.

Plans for the day?

The guy doing my new garage wall finally got back in touch with me last night.
He'll be ready to start the week after next, so I have to finish up my end which includes bracing up the one side of the front garage roof

The sun hasn't exactly risen...it's light out and was dark when I went to sleep so it must be morning.  ;D

We're gonna head to VT for an overnighter. I guess things up at the winery are hopping so we'll go check it out.

I barely have time to think
I'm going to do the roof though as that is far easier and goes quicker
It would be nice if the people who claimed they would help me didn't always disappear or become unavailable when the time comes.
Strange how they always pop up again when they need assistance with something

I have people that have offered help, but they all have jobs that require their attendance during the week. By the time the evening/weekend arrives after a day/week of construction...

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

I only have the weekends to do things and those who claim they'd help obviously just say it to make themselves feel good even though there is no intention to ever try.
Doesn't help that I'm really burnt out at this point, feeling very overwhelmed and that in turn is killing my productivity, vicious cycle
