what was wrong with the old wall that required it to be demolished and replaced by a new one?

the back forty feet (from the far corner in the picture to where the roof over the front part starts) was rebuilt poorly ten years ago and about 2 years ago starting cracking and falling inward. I stopped it by squeezing pallets between it and the old Jeep that was parked back there and then disassembled it. It messed up the wall under the roof where the picture is taken from as they were connected. That back half had a flat roof on it that I removed and when the new wall is up a new roof will be put up over it roughly matching the good roof that I'm standing under in the picture. Hoping to have it all closed up before winter so that I can spend the winter building out the inside

Are you going to heat it?

Are you going to heat it?
parts of it
There was an old oil burner in the original 20x40 section that stopped working some time ago and I have a wood burner I intended on putting in that section. The 10x40 that will be a shop for bikes will probably have its own heat but I'm undecided in what form that will be.

I really like them for heat in my shop.

Cleaner than wood...stoves generally run ~24 hrs/bag unless I'm running the exhaust fan.

when your gas is natural and has a name...

Sent the boss a text last night (his preferred method of communication - seriously) to give him a heads up about the break-in.  his response was "hmmmm" and with the help of a great colleague, got a spare laptop up and running so didn't lose too much productivity.

I will be side-by-side with him for about 12 hours on Wednesday.  No doubt it will be discussed then as it should (although not much to discuss really).

In other news: cleaned the garage tonight, now loving my Blue Moon pumpkin ale (still #1 on my list of pumpkins) and watching my ponies crush the raiders.

 chug

sounds like the boss is being more procedural about it than actually being anything else....

slow start to the day here....having so much fun !!!  Roll Eyes

I kind of like the picture of the jeep and the pallets holding the wall up.
