Hard work - good though. Wielded the chain saw all day. I'm cream bloody crackered.
Burnt all the left over daggy branches from the Blackwoods that.... came down a couple of weeks ago... along with the small stuff from the big Gum trees that.... fell over. It's been very windy recently.

I stood around all day yesterday waiting for the items I was interested in to come up. Got there at 10:00 and didn't leave until 6:30.
I hate standing around.
I still have to get that load of fire wood out of my truck.

Merbau is nice timber for flooring  Most often used in Australia for exterior decking coz its so durable. |

I'm thinking it will be Zip proof. Should be It'll look good too.... Timber flooring in our house is Messmate (or Tasmanian Oak if you're a real estate agent   ). Its a Eucalypt and has withstood all the abuse our kids dished out. Merbau ought be nigh indestructible. Pick anything else up at the auction? |

Merbau ought be nigh indestructible. Pick anything else up at the auction? Nah... I really wasn't prepared. If I had been, and willing to stay another 3 or so hours. I could have picked up interior doors. There was an incredible amount of stuff there. Too much really. It should have been split up into 2 days. Peoples eyes were glazing over...including mine. |
