tried a new [coffee] brand . . . they only sell in 1/2lb packages . . . quite good I must say . . . could become a second brand at home or only at shop

The sub-floor is there. In the civilized world we don't let sheetrockers near anything nice.

Finished flooring goes in after with a baseboard around the edges.
