Yes . . . the answer he gave me was " you of course" . . . ???
Actually for now the shop is slow, so, I can spare a few hours[of hell] in the showroom . ..  every customer that came in today, was like "Carlos, can you come here one moment .... " If I was a customer, I would NOT purchase from someone who has no idea what he has . . .

Once he's bored.... and sees how much you know, how much you care, how committed you are to his business....  you can make this yours without trying... if you want.

While you think you hate the sales thing and the workshop is where you belong, twisting the spanners doing what you know and enjoy (all of which I totally get btw)....  do not discount how much credence prospective customers will give to the real opinions of somebody who genuinely knows what he's talking about and who genuinely shares their enthusiasm for the marque.  The salesman's enthusiasm is for the close of the sale, yours is for the love of the product.  That love will sell more machines than the salesman can hope to close.  People can spot the difference between sales-spin and genuine knowledge a mile off.  You shouldn't underestimate that advantage which you hold.  And with an open mind, IMO you could make it work out for you in a very lucrative way.

But work isn't just about the $$, I do know that.   Just saying that I see there's an opportunity for you here if you're inclined to venture that way   :).
