...and when you get to the end...it starts all over again.

Tell your boss you're going to change your testimony unless he pays you for your time. ;)

is not for my boss, well, he used to be "partner" at dealership, since his legal issues are against a company owned by the VW group, he had to step down, but, until process ends, I aint getting a dime!!! That is the law :-\

sounds pretty fooked up from the small peripheral piece I have caught Carlos...

sorry to have been absent and quient as of late...lot going on here at work....

we ( our dealership )are in the process of being bought out by a larger automotive group....buy/sell inventory taking and all the trimmings of the budding transition, which includes ( but is not limited to) re-applying for my job and doing all that hogwashed paperwork that goes along with it...

I had a sort of impromptu interview with one of the new owners who is going to be the on hand G.M., and he makes it clear he is looking at everything involving money, and is contemplating some changes personell wise....starting in the showroom for sure, but I may have some new logistics myself....

well...my boss, 1 shipping and recieving guy, and 2 other countermen that deal mostly with back counter techs and the front counter walk up consumers, and I do mostly wholesale, and pickup the slack of all of the other jobs when needed since I am the asst. manager technically...

we had 1 other counterman that we "let go" in the name of trimming down last month before any announcements came about...

the other slightly bothersome logistic they are hinting at strongly is that currently, I am paid off of the whole department...under the new ownership, they are looking at moving the wholesale out of here and to a call center hub where they do all of their wholesale operations....that hub is 40 minutes away from here...my commute would go from 18 miles to 46 miles each way and it is in the armpit of space and commuting paths....heading down there, I would then be paid only on my sales in a dog eat dog environment with 5 different brands....talk about going from big fish in small pond to small fish in a big pond....

More than slightly worrying.

Would you have to take calls for brands that you have no experience in?

Someone once said 'Parts is Parts'...

it isn't like that unfortunately.

Good luck with the transition. It won't be easy, but you can do it. [thumbsup]

If the current call center doesn't do VW...

I see a bargaining chip with the other dogs in the fight. ;)

well, it went well, to the point that they had made me a formal offer with a signifigant raise....to which my current employer had decided to step up and beat that offer by a lil bit more....so I stayed....now my pay plan that I thought I secured could be a puff of smoke....but I expressed some of my value explicitly, that I know how much I am worth, to the new G.M. in such a way that he is certainly considering what moves/decisions he makes in regards to me....
