evening . ..  just used some wood for flavor and smell on a few pieces of New York Strip Steak . . . ;D

House coming out very very nice Nate . . . The 50cal is the part I still don't understand but . . .

I did

mostly because of the 'not my job' argument since I got promoted to programmer (2007!)... and it was getting to the point where we had enough button monkeys that I could've just done my job, but the shop being the shop... all the important work (incl. manual stuff) kept falling to me because of my experience/skill set (which was also pointed out to me, solidifying the fact that I could never make it to mgmt). n'mind letting me train others to do those jobs, teddy gets it done w/o make the beast with two backsing it up.  kind of a pisser when I'm doing work that the other machinists should be capable of doing but can't, when all of it isn't my job in the first place. why even give me the promotion?  just to throw me a bone,  I guess...

in hindsight, I should have gone to the union straightaway, but they also liked treating the 'union' guys poorly enough that you could tell, but not necessarily prove retaliation.  OTOH, I had nothing to lose since I was getting the shaft already, but back then I was more... intimidated? I guess?  and just kept my head down and worked.
