I bought the acid for the floor from an ebay seller...

1) the listing indicated he had it in stock

2) the listing indicated it would ship UPS ground from a location 2 days away.

after 2 days with a tracking # that went nowhere I contacted the seller to get info.

It appears that

1) he didn't have stock

2) The material will ship truck freight from the manufacturer from a yet unknown location

3) I can't get an answer as to when it will arrive.

4) I'm make the beast with two backsed because the kitchen cabinets are scheduled to arrive Friday.

Allow me to beat my head against the make the beast with two backsing wall some more

There is that option, but I don't think it will speed up the process any.

Most likely it will just delay it by an extra week.

I'll make a phone call to see if the place I got it from last time has any and travel if I have to.

The issue with the material is it's corrosive and can't fly, and there are a limited number of hazmat shippers. That really slows things down.

I brought this on myself by screwing things up in the first place.

I just doubt they have any because they store it in an unheated warehouse and the stuff will freeze.

If I had known that it was going to be drop shipped I would have ordered from them in the first place.

To be fair, I don't think the ebay guy is actually screwing me. He could never meet the estimated delivery time based on all the circumstances is all.

Yeah it is...I did it last fall.

...or finish the floor after the cabs are installed or in sections and move things around.

Either way it will be a royal pita.

About as much fun as doing it while we're living there.

Sorry to hear that DP,  Too bad you can't ban him....  EBAY has proved to be more frustrating than not for me.

Now I am off to make the doughnuts.  BTW if anyone has a thing for Katie Couric it looks I am gonna be taking her flying in the next couple of weeks.  Just got the call from NBS yesterday and they want to do some kind of shoot with her flying....
