Yes...I did my first cut with 80 and then 100.

I got Zeke's room, the hall, guest room, and the master done except for edges. The edger sucks. It will only do a strip maybe an inch wide, and is making a mess.

I really can't use the drum sander on the landing, in the bathroom, or in the storage area.

Every time I rent something from this place I end up having to maintain it to make it work. The dust chute on the drum sander was clogged.

I think I may buy a sander of some sort., or run an air hose from the barn and use my board sander and a DA to finish.

Morning. [coffee]

Bugger.
I think I used a rotary sander for edging once, it did about a 5-6" edge which was good. Caveat: my woodwork isn't up to your standards. ;D

How's your back after lugging that thing upstairs?

I was telling T I was beat after lugging it up.  :P

My arms are toast after wrestling those things today.

The drum sander is a little unwieldy in small spaces, and they just generaly suck, anyway.

Seems to be the norm on rentals,

True, but they're the best way to flatten a floor.

I'll never...ever...

buy a floor sander. ;)
