A VFR 750 awaits me. Intermittent fuel pump issue adds to the mix. Worked on an wicked little Kawasaki S2 350 Race bike yesterday. I love working on non PC bikes!

Its probably the points. Yes the points...There is a set of breaker Points under the seat that turn the pump on and off to maintain the fuel pressure. These points have nothing to do with the ignition.

Evening all.  [wine]

Enjoying a glass of red with the Good Lady Wife.

Had a constant day today.

Dave. Found the fuel pump relay to be faulty at times, either cutting the fuel off or allowing the pump to max out and overcome the carb float valves. This later model VFR has the ignition relay and fuse under the seat and fuel regulator/cut off relay and fuel pump under the LHS rear sidecover. Running gravity feed at present and that works well if at the expense of a litre or two of fuel capacity. Will follow up on the electric components. All that after cleaning out the carbs, and giving the bike a thorough service.
