Been busy down at the quarry evidently...eh?

Yup.   A big, important delivery of crushed stone coming up next week.  Been swinging the sledge hammer late into the night.

For me going to sleep is just a biological function.

I try to not over analyze it.

Likewise.  For me it works like this:  Go to bed, put head on pillow, sleep.  I know. I am annoying.

edit...ung didn't stay long.

Wednesday night is Ung feed the Ungsters night.  I been cookin'... and eatin'.

But now...

Lots of things on my mind, and I can't get it to shut up...

I know what you're saying Teddy.  But here's the thing... You've identified the issue.  Now you just have to find a way to deal with it.  A way to quieten your brain activity.  You have to work at it.  I suggest you spend some spend time every day actively resting your mind. 

I'd go nuts (shut up  ) if I didn't make myself do this.

If you dont train your brain otherwise... it becomes a busy hive of inane hyperactivity... a swirling vortex of thought...

You have to teach it to go quiet.  I say this as somebody for whom this shit doesnt come naturally.....  I'm the idiot who habitually counts shit that doesnt need counting  

Meditation.  Every day.  

Keeps me sane (more or less  ).

One small completed task or decision starts to snowball into being able to tackle the bigger issues.

It's not really about winning the war, but gaining victories in the smaller battles.
