I'm just letting some steam out . . . Company might get fined for not having a bunch of safety things, a covered gargage disposal and a place for me to EAT !!!!

Finally got the customer to go and leve me alone for me to have lunch and finish his bike . . .

County: garbage dispossal, signs
Health: emergency stuff and cleanliness, place to eat/rest . .. among other stuff, mosquito breeding sites
Labour Dept: safety issues like signs, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting . . . working equipment such as gloves, not!, back support, NOT!, anti stress mats, NOT! . . . rest area, NOT!

they came one by one, un-announced . . . sent them to HQ, I just signed the papers that said that we need to be compliant in 14 days or at least be 50% into the fixings . . .

Not an issue, you can sell or rent out if you chose to come to the mainland.  

I think your mom may have selfish reasons for her excuses.

I have no idea what her motivation is... pop's more concerned about my job, so they have all bases covered to make sure their son is still in his successful 'career' and home ownership

I think knocking your heritage is a bit severe, but I can see how it would also maybe push you in a direction that wasn't what you wanted.

everyone (including myself) saw this job as redemption for having dropped out of college... esp since mom's brother's kid didn't and became the first dr in the family (it was going to be either her or me)
