mom and the sib went to get lunch from our fave thai place... they don't always have ribs, but they were put back on the menu because I asked the owner's mom about them :)

I love small places that appreciate regulars  [thumbsup]

:edit: *also, the ribs are awesome with beers

Morning all..

Koko we pan fry our haloumi until it is golden on both sides...

It is a frying cheese originally from Cyprus.

Also great grated and made into fritters with grated zucchini.

Tony I have never had it softened in water before...

Yep. I grew up on it. [thumbsup] That's where my folks are from.

You get a bowl of boiled water and throw in the sliced haloumi. It goes soft like mozza. Fish it out with a fork. [drool] Have it with other mezze', tapas or antipasto, and some wine. [wine]

Bro, mum came over with those magnificent little hamburgers of hers, plus the chicken/rice soup that I love. You're missing out! LOL!

Her car service went smoothly, her Corolla doesn't use a drop of oil after 10,000 km's. Amazing.  [thumbsup]

My Falcon wagon uses 1.5 - 2 Litres in 6,000 km's. Blimey!  [bang]

It's not just a Japanese manufacturer thing for tight tolerances though, my Ford Laser (Mazda 1.8 DOHC) used to use a litre every 10,000 km's.

I reckon it's a Toyota thing for tight tolerances!
