I get it. With a wife and four daughters, I've seen more than my share of chick flicks. ;)
I agree with Winston Churchill on golf. Fortunately, my wife hates golf because her ex is golf mad. Small mercies. ;D

I've never heard a Churchill quote on golf...

but for some reason it doesn't surprise me he wasn't a fan. ;)

Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but I thought he quipped that golf was a good way to ruin a nice walk. [laugh]

His other quote is better. When a woman said to him (with some indignation), "Sir, you are drunk!", he replied, "Madame, in the morning I shall be sober, but you will still be ugly!" [laugh]

The second sounds like something WCF would say. It may have been a fashionable comeback at the time. I keep that one just in case. ;D
I reckon WCF said it in a movie once, but I heard a radio program where WC was supposed to have said it at a formal function in his younger days.

Interesting. My son's 1st and 2nd choice for soccer jersey numbers this season were taken (10 and 3). I asked him for a third choice and without any hesitation he chose...
