Idle observation:

Seems to me that oranges were discovered before carrots.

Just sayin'

nuthin'...

just curious.

I should probably go pick up the drainage pipe for that job I'm supposed to do...

since the guy paid me for it.

I just don't know if the job will get done this weekend, and I'm afraid the pipe will 'evaporate'. :-\

Well...

if the guy that's doing the digging calls tonight...

and says he's ready...

the pipe should be there.

Later...and have a weekend if I don't see you.

Ning! I slept in. Till 0700  ;D

Now I have to start getting ready, and like cool kids say, make an appearance at work.

Shirt day. Plan is to come home early, walk Lucy, and then bus down to Belltown and spend happy hour with friends.

Wrapping up week 2 at the new job and really wish the NOGAS thread was still open.

Love the job and it is a great leap forward for my career but it has me wondering if a career is good enough anymore.
I would really love my own business...but I have absolutely no balls when it comes to *that* kind of risk yet I will happily throw my leg over a 350lb, 175hp cruise missile and see how fast I can take turn 1 at Road America...

I enjoy the stability of working for an corporation that has been around and will be around forever.
I enjoy the steady paycheck each week.
I enjoy the benefits and the paid days off.
I enjoy the Monday-Friday, turn the job off after 5pm ability.

I hate making more money for the company than they pay me.
I hate being beholden to someone else's rules.
I hate not being my own boss.
I hate not having the balls to take a chance on myself.

Anyway, morning all. Coffee ingested and poop divested, I am ready to halfheartedly face the day!
