It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

I flew one of these a very long time ago. It was a hoot. The canopy rolls back so you can taxi out with the sesation of the propwash going by and the noise of the thing. It has an old timey 1940's feel to it.

Should wait til a Thursday, but...

That's Mr. Iceman to you. ;D

Then I moved on, and learned what real flying was all about.

There was one at the Buckley Aero Club, back in the day.  Always wanted to take it up.

The aero club was where I flew the one I flew, in NOLA.

Cool photo of you & the Tabago. I bet you forgot you were ever that young.

Still a Trinidad.  Just not a TC.

That is about as long ago as when you were that young. [cheeky]

Oh yea, i hear you there. There probably isnt a $250k payoff in fuel savings. I don't know why those things are  so expensive. The airframe is a 50 year old design. But forgetting the price, sort of, the Diesel with the 3 bladed prop is pretty nice. The interiors got nicer too.
I used to train in a 150 and flew in a 172 and they had that cheap plastic in there.
These new ones have a higher quality about the cabins. It's not worth an extra $250k though.

Just looking... Like looking at a exotic sports car i guess.

It just seems crazy, for 4x the price of that Cessna 182 diesel you can get a P-51.

You can get a brand new Honda Accord for ~$22k, but $88k will barely get you a non-running F-1 show car.

And for the price of that Cessna 182 diesel, you can get a late '90's F-1 car, with all the equipment to run it, and a bunch of cash left.
