in my complacency and comfort in the new house...

I ignored some details about the old house...

Probably close to a week.

The basement is half the size of the ell...the ell is 14x20.

It had at least 4' of water in it...maybe more. I figure 5000 gallons.

Pump is running off the generator because the power is disconnected. It's gonna take a while.

Good thing the pump was only filling the old well tank when the new house called for water.

Bad thing is the well tank under the stairs in the new house is pretty small so it doesn't take much to run the pump.

I hear the well problems and the Dead MaMa problems. The neighbor decided to actually move in across the street. He fell through the lawn into an old new sinkhole today. Looks like the old clay pipe for the sewer was draining under ground. There are also two suspect iron water pipes that seem to go nowhere that could be leaking down there..

Meanwhile I ripped off Mary's avatar picture for the shop.
