Ford Fiasco is going down the road next week.

We don't get all the choices here you guys do.

Maybe an Escape.

It's always been a Ford Escape here.

Not sure what they call the comparable Mazda model.

The only thing I'll miss about the Fiasco is the fuel mileage.

Ung, I may go one more year with the trusty old wagon.

I could build a nice double carport, and do a few things round the house. Then this time next year, there'll be a good supply of 2015 Kugas for sale with 10k on the clock and $15k less cost than new.

That's the current thinking.

Ford Escape is a rebadged, lightly reworked Mazda Tribute.

Over 30K miles, including winter warmups/deicing for as long as 20 mins...

35+ mpg

When I fist got it I'd reset the computer while on the highway and the thing would be close to 50 mpg at a 70 mph cruise on flat ground.

Too bad it's a POS.

The little pisscutter had TC and did all right in the snow.

Biggest issue was ground clearance. It would plow anything over 5" deep. That was a problem. ;D

I'd just take Zip to school in the P/U when it snowed deep.

Fair enough given those snow heaves. Some ground clearance would be welcome. I never thought I'd need AWD and height, until I needed it.
