He mowed Monday evening.

I tedded it yesterday. He came down yesterday evening and decided it wasn't dry enough to bale, but he'd rake it to get it up off the ground to speed the drying.

Plan is for me to ted it again today and he'll look at it again. I don't think it will be ready because it got really wet.

Supposed to rain tomorrow. :-\

Bit late in the season for hay baling isn't it?

The weather has been unusually warm.

Problem becomes we're headed into the rainy season.

It'll either be feed or mulch, because at this point it can't lay there.

Yup...first was a couple weeks before DIMBY.

It got rained on too.

George picked up a 15 acre piece this year. Cut about 1000 bales. He even went out and bought a new baler for 20K +.

If he hadn't he might have been able to get to this last week when it was dry, but he had to move all of his equipment the 20 or so miles back here.

Nobody ever gets two hay cuttings done around here.  Be cutting in 3 - 4 months and after that it's usually too hot and dry for any more growth.

20k buys a lot of hay bales.

The farmers up in VT cut every 28 days and put up hay in large round wrapped bales. It can go in a bit damp. They call it baleage...half way between hay and silage.
