Feeling melancholy. Thanksgiving is my favorite day of the year. Headed off to be with good friends tomorrow. Prep and cooking for the past few days. Driving to Oregon on Friday to see someone that I wished lived closer.

Why am I so sad? Work is great - cept for the FNG. He really looked bad yesterday. In front of 2 departments. I don't know what my boss is going to do. Don't envy her position.

This too shall pass right? The whole one more legal thing with the ex will really be the last one right? At $4,704.13 I sure as heck hope so. $400 a month till it's gone starting in December.

It always does pass.  This time last year I was cleaning up my mom's puke and making food for her freezer I thought she might (?!) eat and by the end of the day on Thanksgiving, I realized it was Thanksgiving and dammitall I didn't have any turkey.   ???

Fast forward to yesterday, she called (NEVER calls me, I have to call her) and she was chatting like I've never heard before.  We both acknowledged how fast the year went by.

Those no-so-great moments always pass.  Always.    We're here to listen too.    [beer]

What really got to me was that the ex went through her lawyer to my lawyer instead of me. Was I that bad of a spouse? I don't think so.

Sometimes it's easier to distance yourself.

This was the longest short week ever. Kids are full of frumps.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.
