One of the reasons my wife and I have been married for 29 years is we don't do everything together.  Once we went to a 50th anniversary party.  They never took a vacation together.

next Friday is the missus' office xmas party . . . I am supposed to go, but, I must wear suit and tie . ..  

Not a fan of the suit and tie either, however sometimes, you've gotta do what you've gotta do!

I have a job interview tomorrow, so out come the suit pants, shirt and tie, even though I don't wear such get up to work! Lol!

Had a wedding on Friday, a wedding today and with the interview, I'll be sporting pants, shirt and tie three days out of four! Yikes!

Thankfully, that's not likely to be repeated though!

For what it's worth, my Christmas breakup dinner was last Saturday night. No suit or tie in site, but the ladies always dress up.

^^ This.  28 years in February.  Mrs Ung hates my motorcycles, I have 'em and ride 'em nonetheless.  Why anybody needs so many guitars is beyond me and no, I'm not coming to listen to yet another self indulgent - world famous in Spain - jazz guitarist  .

Maybe it was the only way to make him go.

Kind of like when I tell the kids I'm taking them somewhere "super duper awesome!" so they get in the car, then I take them to the dentist.
