Rumers are it might be briefly below freezing overnight a couple of times between now and January 14th.  Some people are complaining about the cold today.  I guess they think below 50 is cold, how quickly they forget.

I believe we instinctively develop a layer of fat in the fall so we can hibernate until winter is over.
