I could just go get shot here and save myself the trouble of moving first.

She grew up there and thinks lake effect snow is somehow better than cranky new englanders.

I claimed the only reason her parents have survived there is her dad is from Australia and used to everything wanting to kill you. I don't have that same instinct.

??? Where did she get the idea that New Englanders are cranky? Has she been talking to Michelle? 

If she likes lake effect snow then Erie or Buffalo is for her.

That NH house is about half the price of a decent one bedroom in Manhattan and about the same price as my Colonial on 50X100 with a garage too small to put my car in.

Job opening in chicagoland.

Likely we're just staying here. I do have concerns about some of the local groundwater, the drought, and a few other things.

Very pleasant here. I just like the thought of having no mortgage.
