Nick is correct...the rocket scientist/not coffee scientist is incorrect.

Salt does not belong in coffee.

I concur with Nate.

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

It doesn't belong in my coffee.

I tried it this morning.   I think it needed more because there was still a slight bitter taste but bitter wasn't an issue up until a month or two ago.

Might need more salt since it's a 24 oz thermos (crutch for the commute and first shock of office b.s.)

Had a starbucks bought for me today and it was ok.

It has to be my tastebuds.

More salt and will try with the hot cocoa.   Or find a tea I like.  Open to suggestions since I don't care for tea (although Tazo orange flavored wasn't bad).

Two instructional videos...

No salt in either one...

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Too much of a big deal is made about coffee. Just drink it and make it the best you can under the circumstances.  [coffee]

Nope.   Most definitely not watered down.

Remember, it's been YEARS of the same, deliciousness.

NOTHING changed with the coffee/additives.

If you feel the need to add salt to your coffee either you need to get better coffee, work on your brewing or both.  Or it could be a  equipment problem.  My friend's coffee was getting worse and worse, bitter and weak.  No body either.  Finally, one day he noticed the coffee was coming out of the grinder very nonuniform with some really big chunks.  Burrs were worn.  New grinder; problem solved.

It's  midnight and the county is out there with this big grader and two front end loaders removing snow from my street! 🚜

I think they were out there drinking coffee ☕️ and having a good time too.
