Knock on wood I have yet to lay in a hospital bed but if I ever do, I hope I'm conscious enough to get to one of the Boulder hospitals.  Dogs allowed to stay with you in your room.   [thumbsup]

Being in the hospital sucks. Been in a few times now-I don't recommend it.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I spent waaaay too much time in hospitals as a kid.

My friend and neighbor Bernie died last year. He was never sick a day in his life...he started to get feeble and had emphysema from a lifetime of smoking...

until he wasn't feeling right one day and his son took him to the hospital.

Doctors told him he was loaded with cancer.

He died the next day. I guess he didn't want to incur any large bills.

Those bills are no joke, but we're in danger of getting political here.

In other news Paula seems to be....possibly on the upswing. The boy is quite ill-the girl is untouched.

I let them start some seeds in the house-they're very excited to garden this year.

We'll see if the soil is as easy to turn over as when I did it last....or if I need to pick up a tractor attachment.

The soil out west was this weird mix of clay and gravel. It grew well enough but I couldn't make a hole without a pick to break it up first.

I know about the rock crop here-I figure I'll grow a nice wall.
