The nice thing about this house...

the heat was set at 69 in the main part of the house, and 67 in the sunroom. Both thermostats were adjusted to 65 this morning.

It was overcast today so there was no solar gain.

I've been in and out all day, so the house hasn't been sealed up.

The temp in the main part is 68. The sunroom, nearest the entry door has dropped to 65.

the sun is supposed to shine for the next several days. We'll make it.

When you get the new supplier on board, you can tell the current (non) supplier to come get their garbage off of your property.

That's the plan. As soon as I get a date for the new supplier to be operational I'll call and tell the old supplier to cancel the delivery and come for their tank.

I'll give them 3 days. I'll guarantee they'll be there in less.

If the new company won't move it when they come to install their tank I know a guy with a skid steer...it's empty, after all...how heavy can it be?

Toss a lit road flare underneath it and it'll move itself.  :P


I'm unimpressed with their concept of customer service.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I got the same feeling...

and it takes a lot more than a flare to move a propane tank...

if the valve's closed.

Even if it was full, with the valve open, they're hard to steer. ;D

You planned the house well. How long were you living there previous to building your new place?

I've lived on this property since 1988.

We moved into this house in July of 2014.

Most of these are single pain.

I shudder at the replacement cost, even to just buy them. I've got over two dozen, and eight of them are huge.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Doors and windows are 'spensive.

I paid a ton for the ones in this house. They do work well, fortunately.
