Kids might have school tomorrow-not cancelled yet.

Might have to get up early and clear the way.

The pickup is broken and the wee Honda would be fine except for the plow mound.

But school for Penny was just cancelled so at most we have to walk the boy to the bus stop. Not terrible.

They called a 2 hour delay last night. make the beast with two backs it...he can stay home.

Zero precip here.  Again.   [thumbsdown]    Headed to Trinidad in a few hours.  Unfortunately not the carrib paradise but in state.   Not a bad little town and will stay overnight for some hiking tomorrow before venturing home (3 hours one way).


Coffee is ready, boys back in bed and I have waaaaay to much to do before hitting the road.

Blowing snow in 17 mph winds and 30 mph gusts at 6 degrees is immense suckitude.

The snowblower wasn't even happy. The shift linkage is freezing up, as is the clutch engagement mechanism.

Hopefully we get some warmer weather so I can look at it before I need to use it again.

The Kubota was so snowed in I had to shovel out the wheels before it would move.

After that it did....mostly fine-I should've used it on the previous snowfalls so it wouldn't have quite so much to deal with.

Sorry to hear that snowblower is giving you trouble, Nate.

I just think it needs a little TLC.

It's supposed to warm up a little next week. I'll tip it up and pull the bottom cover and clean things up and add a little lubrication.

I also bought some chains for it. Wheeled snowblowers don't have near the traction that tracked models have. The wheels never fall off though. :P

The only thing 'wrong' with it is the starter drive doesn't engage when it's really cold. I have to hit the starter with my plastic hammer. ;D The surefire cure for all things electrical. ;)
