Ordered all the bike parts.

New tank is here.

I suppose I should pull these dents.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Be very careful using a stud welder on a bike tank...AMHIK. ;)

That isn't the issue. Remember...I used to braze hinges all the time, and even my friends set me on fire. ;D

If the dent is 'sharp' edged, or creased, you can pull the stud right off along with the tank metal. Consider yourself warned.

Next he'll tell me using nails welded on with my mig welder and pulling on them with vice grips welded to a slide hammer is a half assed plan  :P

How do you think we used to do it...except it was metal tabs with holes in them, brazed on, through which we inserted a chain...attached to a slide hammer.

It used to be much easier to make the beast with two backs up. [thumbsup]

No idea, really. Just looking for a cheaper way-I only have four dents that need pulling. Don't need to spend a fortune for a tool.
