It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Popeye the Sailor

Morning.

I've never missed my morning bicycle ride.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

LMT

[coffee] [coffee] I never miss a morning dog walk - unless my neighbor comes and gets Lucy and takes her to the park!

Picking up my drum set today.  8) ;D :D :D

Yesterday was a day off. The gf and I are going to the Emerald City Hoedown. A big Thurs night through Sunday afternoon Country dance event. I had 3 lessions yesterday. 2, maybe 3, today. Plus the big social dance tonight. 2 more lessions on Sunday.

Fun, but my feet will be sore.

IN OTHER NEWS - WE HAD SNOW. SNOW AND HAIL AND RAIN YESTERDSAY

Bick

Mnt bike is riding in the back of the Suburban.  Does that count?

hello . .  frigging overslept and missed my morning bicycle ride . . . [bang]

I wish I had overslept.

Got a tune up on my old beater roadie this week.  It's 9 years old, service regularly over the years with at least 5-6 chain replacements.  The chain rings and cassette finally needed to be replaced.  I picked up the bike on Thursday, new drivetrain all shiny and new.  Did 15 miles in a brisk wind that evening.

A few miles into today's ride, I notice the chain bouncing around on the lower gears in some rolling hills.  Mild annoyance, clearly the highly rated shop didn't fine tune things.

At mile 9.5 going up a steep hill (for here), I attempt to shift into a lower gear and the rear derailleur drops to the smallest cog.  [bang] [bang] [bang]

I manage to get it operable, but don't have full range of gears, so I head back.

After an hour plus at the shop that just did the work, it was finally fixed.  Apparently, the Shimano technician didn't understand how SRAM works.  [bang] [bang] [bang]  Nor did he recognize me, or my bike (3rd visit in 7 days).

Needless to say, I'll spend my money elsewhere in the future.
