also, HEY YA'LL!!


Just wanted to say hi while doing some research to help a buddy replace the belts and time his 696. A roller bearing blew up and shredded his belts. Pretty sure the vert is off.
this is after the "good" shop replaced his chain and belts. The chain snapped too.
Life, alas is very drear. Up with the glass and down with the beer!

You might want to make sure there are no bent valves before proceeding.  Leak down test on both cylinders.

I did warn him about that. He said he was going to test them. If they are bent, we should know fairly quickly when trying to rotate the cam (if his works the same as mine when I bent the valves)
