The Powder Coat manager has not written up a near miss in over 3 years. We got into it today. He stormed off to see the COO (my boss) and pregnant dog about me. He was told in no uncertain terms to get on board and play nice. He has refused to fire a guy that has been a pain in my ass for a year now. The knuckle headed worker tried to swat my phone out of my hand when I was getting a photo of him doing unsafe work, and the list goes on. Just last week he backed into the bay door with the forklift.

make the beast with two backs all of them. I'm just there for the paycheck. And to make sure no one dies.

.... and hopefully they won't need to see the $$$$$ cost of un-safety before the realisation hits... Being cold and clinical, it's actually cheap insurance to work safe.  If you, Mary, have documented having highlighted any safety shortcomings.... and nothing is done... then when somebody sadly gets hurt... they (and not you) are up shit creek.

Sleep is something that comes and goes . . . Some nights you get it, some you don't . . .  Melatonin, no work, diazepam, no work, another one I can't still remember the name, no work . . . Booze, NO work, NO booze, no work . . . 4 straight hours feel like a week, so when I get em, I enjoy em . . .
