Ning.

I might add the "lather" to the "rinse and repeat" daily practice today.   Yay me.

From the Story of My Life (SOML) files:  Not the time to need extra hands to help remove a washing machine (& likely a dryer) after the motherboard on the washer started smoking last night.

Fortunately, I have a firefighter who lives next door who confirmed nothing from within the walls was burning.

Unfortunately, he told me he was two weeks out of being diagnosed with "the vid".   Ummmm thanks? for coming over?

Evening.  [wine]

Sorry to hear about your washer, P.

A and I went out for a drive yesterday and stopped in the cemetery to see her grandfather and great grandparents.  On the way home she realized she didn't have her wallet.   [bang]

With her [leo] shield and ID, pistol permit, and everything else normally in a wallet.  She was (rightfully so) freaking out.  We retraced our steps and couldn't find it.   She called her dept and chief to report she had lost it.  We were home no more than a half hour and one of her coworkers called and said an old lady found it during her walk through the cemetery.   Her daughter is a cop as well, so she knew it was important to find the owner.  She turned it into her local precinct and they then called A's dept and said they would drop it off.  Thank God for old ladies on their walks.   [bow_down]

Today was not as exciting.   I've been reading "The Hunt for Red October."  Clancy is a bit wordy for my liking, but good.  I read "Patriot Games" last week.

what?

Stella's helpful neighbor came over to help then told her he had been diagnosed with covid-19.

Unless I misread it.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Nope...that was it. No misreading necessary.

Like DP said, you did not misread.

I'm still in awe of his nonchalance.

Just messaged the other dipshit in my life, the boss, to let him/them know I'm not going to be in the office the mandated 1/2 day+ this week.  Surprisingly he said staying home was the right thing to do.

He is NOT a believer or supporter of work-from-home â€" regardless of whether you can overachieve there or not.

Hopefully nothing but a "typical" week on the horizon.    [bacon]

For Diva:  yay to little old honest ladies walking in cemeteries.   [thumbsup]

Perhaps some time spent in Michigan will remedy you being at this epicenter of idiocy...

Good luck holding it all together.
