Tractor has a slow leak in the rear tire. I think the rim is rusty as it leaks around the bead.

I blew it up and brought it over near my cheapo tire changer. Park it overnight.

Stops leaking.

Welp.  Hasn't been canceled yet; guess that means i'm headed in at 530 for some cranial work.  It felt weird leaving work knowing that I wouldn't be back for 6-8 weeks.

Bummed that I will not be allowed any visitors.

I got the official offer letter today. The base bay is 2K less, but the benefits are worth it. 9 paid holidays instead of 7, 6% 401K match instead of 4, 3 weeks of PTO (vacation and sick time) instead of 2. Bonus is 5 to 15% of base, and could be 20%. My bonus last year ended up being about 7%, only because they tacked on a little extra right at the end.

I declined the offer. I must be crazy. NPI really needs a strong safety manager. We are in the transition from a safety is necessary so no one dies, to a safety is good because it will save us money maturity level. There is work yet to be done.

It was nice to be told that I was the strongest candidate out of all they interviewed. Only woman too. They were surprised at the volume of applicants, phone screened I don't know how many, and interviewed 6.

I had an hour long meeting with each of the directors I deal with and the COO who is a part owner. So is one of the directors. I flat out told them that I needed to work with grown ups, and that I needed them to act like grown ups. We had honest and frank discussion about where they see the safety department in 1 to 3 years.

I told them if I can get an offer in the middle of a pandemic, just wait and see what I can get once we are out of the worst of it. They need to step up, shape up, and get with the program, or I am out.

Best thing is now I have 3 weeks of PTO!

Sounds good Mary!  Gutsy move on your part to go back to your current employer that you recieved an offer somewhere else.
