Preparing a strategy for the Monday meeting w/my boss who is now requiring that I return to the office.

I'm not going to do that.  So, how to manage the situation such that I can work remotely.
Tell him no.

If/when he insists, because he's obviously a mouth breather, hand him your letter of resignation, I recommend having it in hand, and walk out. He'll likely either chase you to catch you , or call, to 'work things out'.

If not...remember...you were looking for a job when you met him. You can find another.

Thanks all.

I will walk in knowing that Monday may be my last day.  They need me way more than I need them.

Good company.  Good pay.  Good benefits.  But none of that matters if I'm dead or incapacitated so that my life from here on out is crappy...

Hope all works out for you Stu.

Always wise (or questionable or instigating for all the right reasons) words from the DMF.   Have fun with the meeting tomorrow Stu.

Thanks all.

Should be good.  No matter what they say, I'm working from home either for them or for someone else.

All good.  [thumbsup]

In other news:  Does anyone remember the Seinfeld episode when Jerry and Elaine were visiting his parents' in Florida and the heat inside their condo was a bit much for Elaine?  Well, that's how it is at my dads.  It is and has been sooooo warm inside here.   [laugh]

Well, it seems the company president was behind the order to have everyone return to the office.  I went in today not knowing if I would have a job by 5pm.  Well, turns out the presidents son got a Covid test last week and the president spoke to some of his doctor friends.  That changed his mind b/c it only took me mentioning that nothing they could do @ the office would make me want to work there...

I was home by noon & will work here for at least the next 4-8 weeks...  [thumbsup]

Morning Ducatters  [coffee]

Not fit for man nor beast outside, so cold today.  Some internal door painting today I think...  Being required to more or less be housebound certainly is good for residential maintenance  ;D :-\
