Today's Word of the Day:  Redemption

One can redeem themselves with a homemade berry pie after leaving one's dementia-laden father at the dentist for what was assumed (based on most recent visits) to be an hour-ish appoint to go exercise their dog at a local park but that appointment turned out to be only a few minutes and that particular daughter didn't confirm the timeframe before she left.  

Said father leaves the appointment and gets into what he thinks is his daughter's car to wait for her (assuming correctly she's out walking the dog) and waits.... until that car owner comes back to their car and says to him "you're in my car"....

You get the idea.  

 

Thank dog, Buddha, Hare Krishna and baby Jesus that my dad is low key and has always rolled with "it" and thankful he didn't start walking the 10 miles home.  Sheesh.  

I later told him it was my payback for the time in 1970 when he and my mom left me at a gas station in Washington D.C.  (for 15 minutes before they realized I wasn't in the car)

Might turn the basement into a game room if a 2x4 stops costing more than lunch.
