Semi-quarantined again (3rd time in 2 months) after my niece, who I've been with a bunch, was exposed to the 'vid recently.  Nothing really changes since I don't see anyone other than family or go anywhere other than to get some groceries and Dr. appts w/the pop.

Upside is she's home from 6th grade until middle of next week so we'll get to hang out even more while I've been "working" from their place during the day.


Anxious to hear back on Stu's employment status....

Well, I told them I'm NOT coming into the office at all on Friday.  Have been on a few phone calls this morning and no one has mentioned it.  So, I think they keep running it up the flagpole to the president since he's behind it all. 

The back-and-forth-and-back again BS has me wanting to quit, but if I can get them to fire me, I can collect unemployment...

So, effectively, no news at this stage.

Good to hear you'll get to spend more time w/your niece.

Yeah, I'm not sure that's legal, but weird times right now & NM is an 'at will' employee state, so I'm not sure how it all works.

Out of fairness to my employer, they did offer me my own office at the site.  They do now have some form of industrial Covid cleaner machine.  I keep refusing b/c I want to change my job to fully remote work.

I'm tired of going into a building across town just to do work I can do from home.

If it's not a job that requires regular in person collaboration then sitting in an office so they can think they can see you working is so....antiquated.

They claim they have me on top of other projects and collaborating, but honestly the CAD work I have to do is all consuming, so no extra time...

Thx. I am.  Finished an online certificate today to show them that I'm “in it”.  We'll see how this goes.
