I used to tell a joke something like "the positive thing about Alzheimer's is you get to meet new people every day."

The joke isn't funny anymore.

My wife is 57 and in the grips of Early onset Alzheimer's. Yesterday she didn't remember that 12 hours earlier she tested positive for Covid. Luckily it isn't a bad case but telling her why she couldn't go to her class (daycare) made her cry twice yesterday. once killed me, the second was worse.

Life will never be normal again. Hug the ones you love, forget those that you don't. It doesn't matter in the long run.

My promotion finally gets announced next Wednesday!
