Stinking bloody hot in Melbourne, sticky in Saigon, cool in Hanoi and make the beast with two backsing freezing in York.  Good to spend time with my son, good too to be back in the place I currently call home.

Good evening all. My downstairs neighbors had a gas leak at their stove connection. The waited for me to get home to see if I knew how to turn off the line. I did, but it was still bubbling after I sprayed it with soapy water. I turned the line off in the basement but it still smelled like a leak after burning off through the stove top what was left in the line. They had no tools, no flashlight, and no idea.

She called 911. They turned off the gas to the entire house. The did turn it back on. Now the gas company here.

Friday night is supposed to be my first  [drink] of the week, a bubble bath, and reading a good book. All that was shot to hell. I'm cold, tired and cranky.
