Good Fat Tuesday Morning ...

Here is a holiday, just drinking and more drinking to go hungover tomorrow to work, many will start for afternoon shift others, start morning shift ... Me, US holidays off and then my week off for vacation ... And I do not complaint about this ... Most of my days off are on Mondays so, I can go out of the city and come back after morning rush on Monday.

Have a day everyone ...

It's Fat Tuesday, the last day of Carnival, last day of all done in excess  drinking, being unfaithfull(Carnival=Feast of the flesh),  and so on, since the founding of the Republic it jas been a holiday, followed by Ash Wednesday when all these sinners would then go get the ashes on their foreheads and start lent and abstinence, no eating meat(beef/pork) on Fridays and then after Holy Week, again back to business as usual

I actually had someone say, "happy Mardi Gras" to me today when I was out walking this afternoon.  It caught me off guard, as I don't recall Denver being known for celebrating Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday.
